MBBS V - Critical Care Medicine modules I and II
Core topics in critical care are introduced to MBBS undergraduates during the Senior Clerkship, ranging from patient triage, fluid management, organ failure, and advanced life support therapy. These tutorials are delivered by thoughtfully- designed teaching methodologies ranging from didactic lectures, case-based discussions, hands-on practicals, and teaching ward rounds.
MBBS VI - Point-of-Care Ultrasound Boot Camp
The Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Boot Camp was introduced to the Specialty Clerkship in 2022 as part of a faculty-wide initiative to equip our graduating medical students with the confidence and skills to incorporate POCUS in clinical practice. Students go through a workshop with guided practice, and subsequently are engaged with the teachers in a virtual classroom format to follow-up experiences from bedside utilization.
