AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider Course (BLS-P)

AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider Course (ACLS-P)
Contents The ACLS Provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. Through didactic instruction and active participation in simulated cases, the candidates will enhance their skills in the recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). The ACLS Provider Course is to improve outcomes for adult patients of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies through early recognition and interventions by high-performance teams. Participants will learn: • Integration of core material and skills • Application of algorithms • Interpretation of arrhythmias • Use of appropriate ACLS drug therapy • Performance as an effective leader and member of a high-performance team Intended Audience • Healthcare providers, such as doctors and nurses • Medical students in training • Other allied health personnel Course Pre-requisite • Possession of current BLS certification (Please attached copy of valid AHA BLS Provider Completion eCard in the online enrollment form) • Knowledge on Basic ECG interpretation Course Length • 14 hours (1.5 days) Certification • AHA ACLS Provider Completion eCard • Valid for two years Accreditation • CNE: 10 Points Pre-course Self-Assessment • ACLS Pre-course Self-Assessment is available. Contents The ACLS Renewal Course provides update knowledge and revision for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. Through didactic instruction and active participation in simulated cases, the candidates will enhance their skills in the recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). It is a renewal programme for AHA ACLS Provider candidates to refresh their knowledge and skills.
